The Syntegon Technology Services location in Raleigh, North Carolina is the headquarters of the North American Service Hub of Syntegon, which concentrates on the customer's unique requirements.

Job Description

The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely collections of outstanding invoices. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external customers to resolve billing issues and maintain accurate records, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

  • Proactively contact customers to collect overdue invoices and ensure timely payments while maintaining accurate records of collection activities.

  • Monitor and review past-due accounts, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve billing or invoicing issues.

  • Analyze accounts for deductions, tax exemptions, and credit limit concerns; recommend appropriate adjustments or actions.

  • Run regular aging and dunning reports to prioritize collection efforts and support monthly account management processes.

  • Review and release customer orders held for credit review and provide recommendations on customer credit limits based on history and Dun & Bradstreet assessments.

  • Manage invoice distribution and accuracy, including input into customer-specific EDI systems and sending statements and supporting documentation via mail or email.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Accountingย 
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in a collections capacity
  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal skills and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge of business systems (SAP is a plus).

Additional Information

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $25.00 hourly.ย
