Summary:

The Business Card Product Director has leadership responsibility for business card portfolio management including analytical evaluation, strategy development, program execution, and profit optimization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy Development:

  • โ€‹Lead the business credit card business, including the design and execution of product strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans and set business targets, budgets, and KPIs for the portfolio and ensure that they are achieved.
  • Align strategy and product roadmap with senior leadership with company-wide goals.

Product Development & Innovation:

  • Oversee the development of new and innovative business credit card and expense management products, features, and benefits to meet evolving customer needs and drive profitability.
  • Drive innovative solutions by researching emerging trends and customer behaviors, while ensuring alignment with the brand strategy.
  • Work with design and tech teams to enhance customer experience and digital engagement for credit cardholders.

Customer Acquisition & Retention:

  • Develop strategies for acquiring new customers while ensuring the retention of existing ones.
  • Lead cross functional team of partners including Marketing, analytics, technology and credit risk to drive customer acquisition campaigns and promotions.
  • Develop and manage acquisition strategies partnering with various sales teams in the organization and identify external partners to help drive new customers
  • Establish loyalty programs and incentives that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Leverage customer data and insights to improve the value proposition and customer experience.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Ensure that all credit card products comply with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Develop and monitor risk management frameworks, including credit risk, fraud prevention, and operational risk for business credit card products.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and adjust credit policies as necessary to mitigate risk and ensure a healthy portfolio.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers and collaborate with cross functional group of partners including analysts, marketers, and risk managers.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
  • Manage team performance, career development, and training initiatives to build a high-functioning, motivated team.

Financial & Operational Performance:

  • Oversee the financial performance of the business credit card portfolio, including revenue generation, cost management, and profitability.
  • Monitor operational metrics such as customer acquisition costs, utilization rates, and charge-off rates to optimize performance.
  • Report regularly to senior management on key performance indicators (KPIs), financial results, and strategic initiatives.

Partnership Management:

  • Develop and manage relationships with key external partners, including payment networks, fintech companies, third-party vendors, and credit bureaus.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with external partners to enhance product offerings and drive customer acquisition.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with 10+ years of credit card related oversight and experience.  
  • Experience working with other 3rd party credit card partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in product development, business case development, strategic planning, project management and tactical implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masterโ€™s degree
  • Experience with business credit card products and mobile banking apps.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in the fintech and payments industry.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or AI applications in credit risk management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of business credit card products and financial services.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to drive profitability.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to business credit, such as the CARD Act, Dodd-Frank, and CFPB guidelines.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing financial products for business customers.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance in the credit card industry.
  • Experience with product innovation, customer acquisition strategies, and digital transformation in the payments space.

Compensation Range:

$155,000 - $255,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. โ€ฏColleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. โ€ฏIn addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
