AMMON Staffing is hiring an Administrative Assistant for a growing industrial distributor in Baton Rouge, LA. Our client supplies stainless steel tubing, pipe, and fittings to a variety of industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, food and beverage, marine, fabrication, and renewable energy. They are seeking a polished, detail-oriented professional who will become an immediate asset to their team.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced office environment, has strong Microsoft Office skills, and enjoys supporting sales, accounting, and operations.
Responsibilities:
* Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic and paper records.
* Create, edit, and format Microsoft Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, including formulas, tables, and reports.
* Maintain document control, including product test reports, heat/lot traceability documentation, and compliance records.
* Prepare documentation for the accounting department during audits.
* Process sales orders for invoicing and assist with credit memo documentation.
* File, track, and resolve freight claims with shipping carriers.
* Support the sales team with customer information, electronic files, data entry, and mailing lists.
* Answer incoming phone calls, respond to emails, and route inquiries appropriately.
* Assist with general office administration and daily operational support.
Qualifications:
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
