We are seeking a Credit Strategy Manager I to execute, monitor, and optimize underwriting, risk-based pricing, offer, and yield management strategies for our consumer lending products. This role owns defined components of credit, pricing, or channel strategy, translating risk appetite, profitability objectives, and business goals into decisioning logic, segmentation, pricing tiers, offer structures, and operational rules while partnering cross-functionally to ensure accurate implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical rigor, commercial judgment, and a data-driven mindset to improve risk-adjusted yield, manage risk, and drive continuous strategy enhancements within established frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Strategy Execution
  • Execute and refine underwriting, line assignment, risk-based pricing, and offer strategies
  • Translate pricing and credit strategy into decisioning logic, segmentation frameworks, pricing tiers, and operational rules
  • Partner with Finance, Product, Marketing, Compliance, Fair Lending, Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure pricing and credit strategies are accurately implemented
Performance Analysis & Optimization
  • Design and evaluate champion/challenger tests related to APRs, fees, promotional offers, loan terms, line assignments, and offer structures
  • Assess customer price sensitivity and conversion elasticity across segments, risk bands, products, and acquisition channels
  • Prepare regular reporting on credit performance and strategy effectiveness
  • Identify performance drivers and recommend targeted pricing, yield, and credit strategy enhancements
Scope & Autonomy
  • Own defined components of credit, pricing, or channel strategy end-to-end, from analysis through implementation and performance monitoring
  • Work independently on complex pricing, profitability, and credit analyses while influencing cross-functional partners to execute strategy effectively
  • Recommend and drive scoped strategy adjustments within established risk appetite, policy, and profitability frameworks

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field, finance, economics, business, or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years in credit risk, pricing strategy, underwriting, analytics, yield management, or credit strategy
  • Experience analyzing approval, conversion, yield, margin, loss, profitability, or customer response metrics
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, R, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of credit risk, risk-based pricing, expected loss, and lending economics
