The Medical Operations Manager is responsible for achieving financial performance and revenue growth strategy for their location(s) by overseeing the performance and day-to-day administrative functions of the practice, clinical operations, and quality of patient experience. The OM needs to be an expert in their local market, leveraging best practices for patient acquisition and retention. The OM provides leadership and guidance and fosters employee engagement to achieve individual and team success, while supporting and driving PDS's mission and culture for their location(s).
Responsibilities
  • Oversee performance and day-to-day administrative functions of business operations, clinical operations and quality of patient experience leading by example, adhering to standard operating procedures and meeting deadlines
  • Manage P&L and drive year over year revenue and profit growth. Implement, and ensure adherence to cash management and accounting protocols
  • Identify staff and develop talent by providing effective leadership, coaching and mentoring includes identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Manage budget including optimizing resources, overseeing expenses to achieve monthly budget, and overseeing medical, people costs and office supply inventory
  • Oversee HR related functions including maintaining efficient staffing levels, interviewing, hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, and developing improvement plans
  • Ensure patient experience and clinical quality objectives are obtained includes resolving patient issues by developing timely, effective, logical and creative solutions
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and implement effective marketing programs to grow the business
  • Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to office values based on the PDS "We Believe" statement to ensure team members continually focus on the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE). Ensure every patient has a positive experience in the office and collaborate with doctors to develop patient communication skills and patient experience goals for the team, so patients are Healthier, Happier and refer others
  • Effectively implement best operational practices and ensure compliance with state and local regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least 5 or more years of related work experience in medical/dental. Operational management knowledge of medical/dental offices
  • Experience leading a team, mentoring and coaching team members

Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Business or related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office-Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficiency working in Epic EHR
