What is a creative manager?

Creative Managers are professionals who oversee the creative direction and output of a company or team, often within advertising, marketing, or design environments. They lead creative projects from concept to completion, manage creative teams, and ensure that visual, written, and multimedia content aligns with brand strategy and goals. Principal Associate, Associate Creative Director - Brand Creative

Capital One Brand Creative is looking for an experienced Associate Creative Director with a background in design and an elevated modern portfolio. This role will support our Retail Bank creative team, bringing our brand to life across different audiences, products and digital channels. You know how to partner with Creative Directors to define the work, and Art Directors and Copywriters to deliver the end product. You'll be responsible for both leading project teams as well as contributing to creative development as a top design performer. If you're a champion of strategic ideas with exceptional leadership chops and a customer-focused marketing background, we'd love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with Creative Directors and Project Managers to define intent, brief teams, and deliver marketing that cuts through the noise.

  • Design creative for a range of digital channels, including paid social, display, email, web and SEM, with a keen attention to detail and high bar for creative excellence.

  • Be a creative leader amongst your team of Art Directors and Copywriters (including a mix of full-time associates, contractors, and agencies).

  • Collaborate with marketing strategists and internal business clients to positively influence marketing strategy and the customer experience.

  • Use evidence and data to ground your creative decisions.

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of advertising and marketing trends and translate business intent into creative strategies and executions that market products effectively.

  • Present and influence with a convincing and inspiring style to increase buy-in and open the door for new opportunities - both for your team and department.

  • Mentor and build expertise in your craft with your peers and team members.

  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines and workstreams autonomously at the same time.

WHO YOU ARE

You want to be an EVIDENCE-BASED MARKETER.

  • Your curiosity is endless. There's always something else to learn.

  • You're flexible and not afraid of change-in fact, you welcome the challenge.

  • You share your point of view but seek out what might be missing and listen.

  • You have big ideas and know the best ones are driven by proof, persistence and patience.

  • You're a storyteller. You simplify the complex and compel your audience to act.

  • You know how to enjoy yourself. While fun isn't mandatory, it certainly seems to follow you.

  • You care-about the work, your team and the customers you serve.

Candidates must provide a portfolio of their creative work for consideration
