Our Independent K–12 (IK12) Marketing team supports a diverse portfolio of independent schools by creating compelling marketing campaigns that convey each school’s distinctive story, reinforce our premium brand positioning, and strengthen enrollment.

We are seeking a highly creative, visionary designer who is equally passionate about strategy and execution. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can develop beautiful, high-performing, brand-defining creative while helping shape the visual direction of campaigns across digital, print, social media, photography, video, and presentations.

About the Role

The Senior Creative Lead will guide the visual creative strategy for the IK12 Marketing team. This role combines exceptional graphic design capabilities with creative direction, content development, and visual storytelling to elevate our family of school brands.

You will partner closely with marketing, enrollment, and operations teams; school leaders; photographers and videographers; and external partners to create campaigns that inspire current and prospective families.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who enjoys designing and producing content while influencing creative strategy, directing visual concepts, supporting photo and video productions, and developing engaging content throughout the marketing funnel. The Senior Creative Lead will also keep projects on track, manage competing priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities Creative Leadership
  • Develop compelling creative concepts that strengthen brand awareness and support enrollment marketing initiatives across the IK12 portfolio.
  • Ensure the consistent application of brand standards while evolving creative approaches to keep campaigns fresh, modern, and engaging.
  • Present creative concepts to marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Graphic Design
  • Design high-quality, engaging marketing collateral across print and digital channels, including brochures, flyers, event materials, direct mail, digital advertising, websites, landing pages, email, social media, outdoor signage, and enrollment materials.
  • Adapt creative assets for multiple channels, audiences, and formats while maintaining brand consistency.
Presentation Design
  • Design polished, visually compelling presentations.
  • Transform complex information into engaging visual stories using Google Slides and presentation-design best practices.
  • Create presentation templates that improve consistency across the organization.
Social Media Creative
  • Develop engaging creative for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Design campaign assets, stories, reel graphics, and templates that drive engagement.
  • Partner with the social media team to develop integrated content strategies.
Photography and Video Support
  • Support photography and video productions across IK12 campuses.
  • Develop creative concepts, shot lists, and visual direction for photo and video shoots.
  • Collaborate with photographers and videographers to ensure assets align with campaign objectives and brand standards.
  • Support video editing, motion graphics, and multimedia storytelling for digital campaigns.
Campaign Development
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop integrated campaign assets.
  • Translate marketing objectives into compelling visual solutions that drive awareness, engagement, and enrollment.
Project Management
  • Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Coordinate production schedules with internal teams, agencies, printers, and vendors.
  • Use project management tools to track tasks, budgets, and deliverables and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects move efficiently from concept through final delivery.
Innovation
  • Stay current on design trends, AI-powered creative tools, social media best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Consistently introduce fresh ideas that elevate the creative quality of the IK12 Marketing team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within an in-house marketing department or creative agency.
  • A portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, campaign development, typography, layout, presentation design, and digital creative.
  • Experience developing creative across print, digital, social media, and presentation channels.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, brand strategy, creative direction, and integrated campaign development.
  • Experience participating in photography and video productions is preferred.
  • Experience within the education, lifestyle, hospitality, or consumer-brand sectors is a plus.
Technical Skills

Proficiency with:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
