Job description

Creative Engagement Solutions (CES) is seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Specialist to support the planning and execution of outreach initiatives, stakeholder engagement activities, multimedia campaigns, and community events. This position plays a critical role in building relationships with partners, promoting client programs, and ensuring meaningful engagement with diverse audiences.

Candidates must reside within the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area and be available for periodic travel in the U.S. to support meetings, events, and client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement, communications, outreach, and public involvement strategies for federal, state, local government, and nonprofit clients.
  • Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops, focus groups, listening sessions, public meetings, virtual engagement opportunities, interviews, and outreach campaigns.
  • Develop outreach materials, presentations, newsletters, email campaigns, social media content, meeting summaries, reports, and other communications products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders, community organizations, and project participants to support successful project outcomes.
  • Support project planning, implementation, and coordination across multiple client initiatives, including communications, outreach, training, and engagement activities.
  • Assist with event planning and execution for conferences, workshops, trainings, webinars, public meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities, including logistics, registration, speaker coordination, and onsite support.
  • Collect, track, and analyze outreach and engagement metrics; prepare reports and recommendations; and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure outreach and engagement activities align with project goals, client needs, and organizational objectives.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of five years of professional experience in outreach, stakeholder engagement, communications, public involvement, event planning, or a related field.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience supporting stakeholder engagement, public outreach, communications, community engagement, public involvement, or client-facing initiatives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative, client-focused team environment.
  • Experience collecting, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on outreach, engagement, communications, or stakeholder feedback data.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, trainings, public engagement activities, conferences, webinars, or other stakeholder-facing events.
  • Ability to develop clear and engaging communications materials, presentations, reports, meeting summaries, newsletters, social media content, or outreach collateral.
  • Experience working with government agencies, nonprofits, community organizations, associations, or public-sector clients is preferred.
