Job description

Providence Church is seeking a highly skilled and spiritually grounded Pastor / Director of Creative Engagement to provide church wide leadership across worship, communications, production, digital engagement, storytelling, and creative environments. This leader will serve as the principal creative voice for Providence, helping ensure that everything from weekend worship experiences to digital communication clearly and creatively supports the mission of making Jesus known. The Pastor / Director will lead a diverse team of staff, freelancers, and volunteers while serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and working closely with the Executive Pastor and Senior Pastor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for creativity, communications, worship experiences, and engagement across Providence Church.
  • Lead and develop the worship, production, digital, and creative teams, including staff members, freelancers, and volunteers.
  • Oversee internal communication supporting Providence ministries while maintaining clarity, quality, and consistency of the Providence brand.
  • Lead external communication and digital engagement through websites, email, social media, digital content, and advertising.
  • Help shape the messaging and flow of worship services, including service elements, hosts, baptisms, commissioning moments, music, and other creative components.
  • Serve as the primary creative lead for environments, including spaces, signage, stage design, and visual experiences.
  • Develop a culture of storytelling that identifies and shares stories of life change throughout Providence.
  • Remain current on developments in worship, ministry, communication, marketing, design, and technology.
  • Build healthy systems that allow creative teams to produce excellent work on schedule and within established budgets.
  • Provide staff leadership, coaching, evaluations, and budget oversight for worship, production, and creative ministries.
