Get to Know Your Team: 

  • New Mexico Heart Institute has over 30 years of diagnostic, interventional, and preventive cardiovascular expertise. Our team of over 50 providers uses state-of-the-art technology, offering the latest treatment options for all types of heart and vascular conditions.

Responsibilities
  • The technologist will perform interrogations of pacemakers and implantable defibrillator's.
  • Monitor, write reports, and manage remote patient interrogations.
  • Identify critical device and/or patient issues and bring them to the attention of the provider, and maintain the device database.
  • Assists cardiologists with cardiac procedures and exams.
  • Maintains and monitors systems, equipment, and supplies for the assigned department.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of a variety of software applications programs.
  • Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures.
  • Pacemaker programming experience 
  • ACLS
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

  • National Certification.
  • CCSD, IBHRE, and CRAT certifications are required within the first year.
