Job Title: Senior Network QA Engineer
Duration: 12+ Months (Potential for Extension)
Location: Edwardsville, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Work Arrangement: Onsite (5 Days/Week)

Pay Rate Rage:  $45-65/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network QA Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise networking and security technologies to support quality assurance and configuration review activities within a complex network integration environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced network professional who has hands-on experience designing and deploying enterprise network solutions and is ready to serve as a technical quality authority prior to deployment. The position focuses on configuration review, validation, and process oversight to ensure devices meet established standards and customer requirements before implementation.

The successful candidate will help drive consistency, quality, and operational excellence across the deployment lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesConfiguration Quality Assurance
  • Conduct detailed quality assurance reviews of network device configurations prior to deployment.
  • Verify compliance with documented staging and configuration standards.
  • Identify configuration gaps, errors, and deviations from requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve issues before deployment.
  • Provide real-time guidance and procedural support during staging activities.
Process & Documentation Review
  • Review and audit runbooks, playbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Recommend process improvements and identify documentation gaps.
  • Partner with senior engineering teams to refine technical standards and workflows.
  • Ensure documentation remains accurate, actionable, and scalable.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Communicate quality findings and deployment readiness clearly and professionally.
  • Participate in technical discussions regarding deployment standards and quality requirements.
  • Deliver status updates, issue summaries, and recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams throughout the deployment lifecycle.
  • Coordinate reviews and approvals to support project timelines.
  • Mentor junior team members and reinforce quality standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise networking and security technologies including:
    • Fortinet platforms (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
    • Juniper wireless solutions
    • Cradlepoint networking technologies
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Routing and switching
    • Network segmentation
    • VPN technologies
    • Security policy management
    • SD-WAN architectures
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and validating complex device configurations.
  • Proven background in technical quality assurance or deployment validation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle configuration issues affecting security, performance, or compliance.
  • Experience developing and maintaining:

    • Standard operating procedures

  • Ability to provide technical guidance and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • 8+ years of progressive network engineering experience, including senior-level responsibilities.
