Mission and Purpose:

The Managed Services Provider (MSP) - Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer is a key contributor to this mission, ensuring system stability, security, and efficiency through proactive monitoring, management, and optimization of IT infrastructure.

This onsite role requires up to two days per week of onsite support at a client's office in the DC area, with the remaining time spent supporting clients from our corporate office. By maintaining high availability and delivering rapid responses to potential issues, the MSP - Network Engineer plays a vital role in safeguarding business continuity and enabling operational success.

MUST BE LOCAL TO THE WASHINGTON, D.C., MARYLAND, OR VIRGINIA AREA.

Position Summary:

OmegaCor is seeking a proactive MSP - Network Engineer to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing IT systems. This role provides Tier 2 remote and onsite technical support, manages infrastructure, and drives continuous improvement of monitoring tools and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support & Incident Response: Provide Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and user issues; respond promptly to alerts and outages; document root causes and resolutions.

  • Infrastructure & Endpoint Management: Maintain servers, networks, and endpoints; deploy updates and patches; troubleshoot system performance issues.

  • Monitoring & Proactive Maintenance: Monitor system health, identify risks, and take preventive measures; conduct regular backups, updates, and hardware checks.

  • RMM Management: Configure and optimize Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools; develop and enforce policies to ensure consistent, efficient monitoring.

  • Data Center Operations: Maintain and inspect data center equipment; perform preventive maintenance; support deployment and decommissioning of assets.

  • Performance Goals: Collaborate with the team to set and achieve quarterly initiatives, maintaining a completion rate of at least 80%.

Qualifications:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with infrastructure, network, and endpoint management.

  • Familiarity with RMM tools and proactive monitoring practices.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work directly with end users.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of senior-level network engineering experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required by government agency.
  • Strong understanding of network and system monitoring tools.
  • Hands-on experience with RMM tools and IT infrastructure components.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks is a plus
