The Clinical Learning Consultant partners with clinical leaders, educators, and stakeholders across the health system to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical learning solutions that strengthen workforce competence, organizational performance and safe, high-quality patient care. This role applies clinical expertise, instructional design, adult learning principles, and consulting to close skills gaps, advance regulatory readiness, support strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

Education:

         Bachelor's degree in nursing required. 

         Master's degree in nursing, education, organization development, instructional design, or related field preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registry:

         Current RN license in the State of Illinois.

         Certified ACLS Instructor obtained within 6 months of employment.

         Clinical specialty certifications (CCRN, CEN, RNC-OB) preferred.

         Relevant certifications (APTD, CPTD, CPTM, Prosci, PMP) preferred. Experience:

         Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience.

         Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical education, precepting, or serving as a clinical resource.

         Designing, developing, and evaluating clinical training programs using adult learning principles.

         Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

         Experience leading large-scale projects preferred.

         Background in change management, project management, or process improvement, or preferred.Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

         Knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional methods, and clinical education best practices.

         Ability to assess learning needs, design solutions, and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.

         Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills for diverse audiences.

         Ability to facilitate in-person and virtual learning experiences.

         Strong organizational skills to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects effectively.

         Adaptability to changing healthcare environments and resilience under pressure.

         Initiative and self-direction to drive continuous improvement.

         Critical thinking and problem-solving with ability to provide constructive clinical and educational feedback.

         Effective teamwork and relationship management.

         Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), simulation technology, and digital learning tools.

         Ability and willingness to travel to various care sites to deliver education, support training initiatives, and meet operational needs.
