Job description

Play a key role supporting the accounting operations for Feastables and other Beast Industries CPG businesses. This position will focus on GAAP-compliant reporting, inventory accounting, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations as the organization continues to scale.

As a Senior Accountant, CPG, you will contribute to building strong accounting processes and supporting the financial close for this business unit. This role will help maintain accurate financial records, support audit readiness, and partner cross-functionally to ensure financial reporting reflects operational performance. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accountant with strong CPG experience and a hands-on approach to problem solving.

The Role

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, CPG, this Senior Accountant will support the financial close process for Feastables and other CPG initiatives. This role will ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, assist with audits, and help maintain accurate accounting for inventory and cost of goods sold. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners and contribute to process improvements that strengthen financial operations as the business grows.

What You'll Do
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including inventory, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Assist with cost accounting and inventory accounting processes, ensuring accuracy of inventory valuation and cost of goods sold
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify variances and support business decision-making
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting of inventory and production activities
  • Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities as needed
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Contribute to improvements in accounting processes, systems, and reporting workflows
  • Assist with NetSuite or ERP system maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting
What You'll Bring
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience, ideally within Food & Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA required
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a CPG or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred

The target total compensation ranges from $88,000 - $110,000 including a fixed annual salary of $80,000 - $100,000, an employee equity plan grant, bonus, plus comprehensive benefits.
