Compensation:
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $36,990 - $49,009.80. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.
Join Our Team as an Inventory Cycle Counter!
The Cycle Counter Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving inventory accuracy through the execution of structured cycle counts, variance investigation, and transactional corrections within the ERP system (e.g., Oracle). This role works closely with warehouse operations, production, and finance to ensure accurate on-hand balances and proper inventory control practices. This role supports Lean manufacturing principles by ensuring accurate inventory data, reducing waste, and improving material flow.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cycle counts using ABC classification or other Lean prioritization methods.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records; investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP systems (Oracle EBS).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and suggesting improvements to reduce inventory errors.
  • Ensure proper material location and labeling to support 5S and visual management principles.
  • Communicate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues promptly.
  • Assist with physical inventory audits and participate in Kaizen events related to inventory accuracy.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (Standup forklift, pallet jack) safely and in compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with the Production Operations to ensure seamless integration of inventory control processes within the production value stream.
  • Support receiving procedures and manage physical assets related to material storage and flow between inventory and production lines.
  • Ensure the availability of the right parts at the right time for production needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
  • Provide training and support to team members on inventory control best practices and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll Need To Succeed:
  • Inventory Control Processes: Cycle counting, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
  • Material Flow in Manufacturing: Familiarity with BOMs, routings, and production processes.
  • Warehouse Operations: Location systems, labeling, and handling procedures.
  • Quality Standards: Compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with Oracle ERP software.
  • Operating warehouse equipment (Standup forklift, pallet jack) preferred.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle EBS, SAP, etc.) and basic MS Excel skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
