Job description

Position Overview

Stein Counseling and Consulting Services, Ltd., a trusted behavioral health provider in Onalaska, WI, is seeking two fulltime AODA Counselors to join our dedicated clinical team. Candidates must hold an active Wisconsin credential (CSAC, SAC, or SACIT) and demonstrate skill in delivering compassionate, evidencebased substance use treatment to clients across the lifespan. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, missiondriven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete clinical intake assessments, substance use disorder evaluations, and individualized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidencebased practices.
  • Address cooccurring mental health needs within scope of practice.
  • Coordinate care with internal teams, families, and community partners.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with DHS75 and agency standards.
  • Uphold all legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Wisconsin credential: CSAC, SAC, or SACIT
  • Knowledge of current best practices in substance use disorder treatment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to traumainformed, culturally competent, clientcentered care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in outpatient, schoolbased, or communitybased treatment settings
  • Familiarity with cooccurring disorders and integrated care approaches
