Job description

Bethany St. Joseph Corporation has proudly served Coulee Region families since 1977. We are a reliable healthcare organization, known for quality care, committed staff, and an uplifting community atmosphere. We’re looking for an Activity Room Aide for our Galesville location, Marinuka Manor. 

This position is Full Time working 75hrs/pay period. Must be available to work every other Saturday, and occasional evenings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Execute recreation programs for all residents, in large, small, or individual settings. This includes set up, transporting residents to and from activity, conducing the activity, and break down of activity. This may also include off site activities.
  2. Provide projects and materials for all residents to maintain cognitive, physical strength in large, small and individual settings.
  3. Maintain verbal and written communication with all departments as needed in the best interest of the residents, while maintaining resident confidentiality. This position requires a mature individual who works well both independently and in teams. 
  4. Maintain a clean, safe environment when working with the residents, either on the units or in the Recreation Room.
  5. Maintain positive relations with family/visitors/volunteers.
  6. Document resident attendance through department attendance records.
  7. Transportation of residents on or off facility grounds.

Qualifications: 

  • Studying Recreation Therapy or experience working in the Long Term Care Setting (preferred but not required)
