Job Description
Play a role in the development of pre-Contract commercial offers. This includes:
  • Monitor system and equipment pricing for industrial thermal systems for the chemical processing, by-product recovery, and water reclamation.
  • Help evolve customer and internal requirements and provide feedback on optimizing costing alternatives.
  • Use a combination of calculated values, current quotations, historical data, estimations, and empirical data correlate the system process design concept into a structured estimate with detailed equipment descriptions, nominal material requirements, commodity requirements, engineering man hours, freight estimation, associated contingencies and financial instruments.
  • Minimal interface with thermal processing equipment fabricators, and equipment vendors to obtain specific bids and costing information in support of inquiry costing.
  • Assist in developing internal quantities for third party construction and material bid packages.
  • Generate cost information to support the preparation of internal documents for proposal generation and internal corporate review documents.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Engineering (any) or related technical field, and three (3) years of experience in a related occupation required.
  • 3 years of experience in tender management for industrial or process equipment projects;
  • 3 years of experience in cost estimation and bid preparation for industrial equipment;
  • 2 years of experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, Oracle);
  • 2 years of experience in industrial process system design or specification.

Telecommuting permitted. When not telecommuting, must report/appear into/at Veolia offices in Plainfield, IL.
