WELCOME!Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced cannabinoid manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who is comfortable managing the accounts payable function while supporting the Assistant Controller and Controller with general accounting, inventory accounting, manufacturing cost analysis, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a dynamic, rapidly growing manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor

  • setup, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations.

  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.

  • Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.

  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

  • Support inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, adjustments, and cycle

  • count reviews.

  • Assist with manufacturing and production accounting, including tracking inventory

  • movements and analyzing production variances.

  • Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Support cost accounting initiatives and assist with maintaining accurate product costing.

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for

  • management and external auditors.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting

  • standards.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiency

  • Provide accounting support for special projects and other duties as assigned by the Controller and Assistant Controller.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.

  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and the month-end close process.

  • Experience with accounts payable, journal entries, and reconciliations.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Inventory accounting and cost accounting experience strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $65,000-$70,000 + benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K)

Working hours: Monday–Friday 9:00 am- 5:00 pm
