GQR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse Correctional for a travel nursing job in Rusk, Texas.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Specialty: Correctional
  • Discipline: RN
  • Start Date: 08/03/2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 48 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, days
  • Employment Type: Travel

Corrections - Registered Nurse - Days 

  • Start Date: 8/1 or 8/29
  • Orientation Dates:  August 1st & 2nd
  • Length: 13 weeks but will be continuous employment. (aka extensions)
  • Shift: Days
  • Hours per week: 36/48
  • Float Requirements: Will be asked to float as needed

Experience:

  • 2 years of RN experience required
  • Min 1 year Med Surg Acute experience required
  • Travelers that come from HH or hospice can succeed but is rare
  • Floor nursing in LTAC or acute care are most successful
  • Must have at least 1 Year of Acute Care or Med Surg experience  
  • LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing and/or Psych is a plus to succeed in this environment 

Certs: BLS
License: Compact or Texas RN
