At Novocure, we're working to extend the lives of patients battling some of the most aggressive cancers. Every role here contributes to that mission - and as a Financial Coordinator I, you'll help patients navigate insurance and financial questions with clarity, empathy, and professionalism. Your work will support a smooth onboarding and treatment experience while connecting patients with the information they need.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Financial Coordinator I to join our Revenue Operations team in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. In this customer-facing role, you will serve as an important liaison between patients and internal partners, helping manage insurance benefit verification, financial communication, and other key activities that support patient onboarding and ongoing treatment.

Complete insurance benefit verifications for new and existing patients and determine eligibility and cost-sharing amounts

Help identify and address obstacles in the patient onboarding and ongoing treatment journey

Proactively follow up with patients to gather required information and support a positive experience

Maintain accurate documentation of communications and account handoffs in relevant systems

Collaborate with Revenue Operations colleagues and cross-functional partners to assess requests and respond with the appropriate urgency

Ensure consistency and accuracy across patient-facing activities in alignment with Novocure's patient-forward mission

Provide coverage and support for teammates as needed

Take on additional responsibilities and priorities as assigned by management

ABOUT YOU

You are a thoughtful, service-oriented professional who understands that financial and insurance conversations can be complex and personal. You communicate clearly, listen carefully, and remain calm when resolving challenging situations. You are comfortable balancing independent work with close collaboration and can organize multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

You bring a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the flexibility to learn new systems and processes. Most importantly, you approach every patient interaction with empathy and a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent professional experience preferred

2-3 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, or another customer-facing role

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Strong customer service skills, including the ability to de-escalate and resolve challenging situations

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented culture

Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced office setting

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with basic medical and insurance terminology

Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) or document management systems

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP, with the ability to learn new software quickly

Previous experience supporting patients or customers in a healthcare environment

HOW YOU'LL WORK

Work on-site in our Portsmouth, NH location as part of the Revenue Operations team

Partner closely with Financial Coordination colleagues and cross-functional teams

Handle patient and account information with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism

Balance scheduled responsibilities with changing priorities and time-sensitive requests

Lift up to 20 pounds as needed
