The Cook Chef plays a vital role in a casual dining environment, responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes while ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly. Reporting to the Head Chef and Restaurant Owner, the Cook Chef collaborates with a kitchen team of 7-10 members, following rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. This role emphasizes menu planning, recipe development, and maintaining strict kitchen safety and sanitation standards, often utilizing Point of Sale (POS) systems to support daily functions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications for casual dining
  • Plan menus and develop recipes that meet quality and customer satisfaction standards
  • Ensure kitchen safety and maintain sanitation standards at all times
  • Manage inventory to minimize waste and ensure all ingredients are stocked
