Position Overview
We're seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across a range of smart technology systems and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment serving both residential and commercial clients.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and troubleshoot home automation systems (Control4, Lutron, and similar platforms)
  • Design and install custom home theater systems, including audio/video calibration
  • Install and configure security and surveillance systems (cameras, alarms, monitoring)
  • Run and terminate structured network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber)
  • Install and program access control systems
  • Set up and configure Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone systems
  • Install and integrate automated shading systems
  • Read and interpret architectural/electrical plans for pre-wire and trim-out phases
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other trades on-site
Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in low voltage installation (residential and/or commercial)
  • Working knowledge of Control4, Lutron, Sonos, or similar platforms preferred
  • Experience with structured cabling standards and best practices
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, troubleshooting)
  • Comfortable working at heights, in attics/crawlspaces, and using standard hand/power tools
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (not required)

  • Manufacturer certifications (Control4, Lutron, etc.)
  • Low voltage license (California C-7 or ability to obtain)
