EHC is looking for a Commercial Operations Representative for a client in the North Houston Area

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Job Summary

Seeking a Commercial Operations Representative to support a midstream scheduling team. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing scheduling activities for operated midstream assets, ensuring efficient operations, balancing systems, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, producers, pipeline operators, and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to provide support on a 24/7 basis when on duty, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as experience and knowledge grow.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in natural gas or midstream scheduling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with producers to adjust nominations for wellhead production, residue gas, NGLs, and crude oil to minimize system imbalances.
  • Balance plant Operational Balancing Agreements (OBAs) and monitor shipper imbalances across gathering systems.
  • Monitor and balance NGL allocations on downstream pipelines.
  • Confirm daily nomination activity on residue pipelines.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure efficient operations and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with field operations to implement set-point changes and ensure physical deliveries align with confirmed nominations.
  • Calculate contractual and actual plant shrink, plant fuel, and field fuel volumes.
  • Collaborate with production operators, working interest owners, pipeline representatives, and internal teams to address operational issues.
  • Communicate critical operational impacts to downstream marketing teams prior to daily trading activities whenever possible.
  • Support business events and operational changes, including new well connections, infrastructure expansions, outages, processing elections, and asset transactions.
  • Maintain accurate daily and monthly records, including operational events and force majeure documentation, to support audit requirements and business continuity.
  • Partner with accounting teams to resolve billing, reconciliation, and reporting matters.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly customer reports and month-end reports for accounting and customers.
  • Maintain and update scheduling and operational systems daily.
  • Develop and maintain strong industry relationships with customers, operators, pipeline personnel, and working interest owners.
  • Cross-train with team members to provide coverage for vacations, weekends, and other scheduling needs.
  • Generate monthly availability and estimate reports for marketing teams.
  • Prepare management reports comparing actual versus forecasted volumes.
  • Analyze operational and economic data to recommend ethane rejection or recovery strategies for operated processing plants.
  • Participate in evening, weekend, holiday, and after-hours on-call rotations as required.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Travel

  • Up to 5% travel required.

Work Schedule

  • Hybrid schedule: In-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; remote Wednesday and Friday.
  • Monday through Thursday consists of 9-hour workdays, with a 4-hour workday on Friday.
  • Availability for on-call and after-hours support is required.
