HSE Safety Coordinator

About Us

Position Summary

We are hiring a professional HSE Safety Coordinator based in Bakersfield, CA. This role requires frequent travel across California to oversee field safety, enforce Cal/OSHA compliance, and lead a proactive safety culture on-site.

  • Compensation: $52,000 โ€“ $78,000 per year (based on experience)
  • Location: Bakersfield, CA (with frequent regional travel)

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance & Reporting: Manage Cal/OSHA 300 logs, 300A summaries, and 301 incident reports.
  • Audits & Inspections: Conduct comprehensive field safety audits and evaluate subcontractor safety plans.
  • Incident Management: Lead root-cause investigations, and deploy corrective actions.
  • Contractor Management: Monitor third-party safety metrics using ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce.
  • Training & Mentorship: Deliver HSE training (LOTO, Fall Protection, HazCom) and coach project personnel. Maintain and train on safety programs including IIPP and EAP.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of safety leadership in industrial, power, or oil and gas environments.
  • Regulations: Deep knowledge of Cal/OSHA standards and California labor safety regulations.
  • Systems: Proficiency with contractor compliance management platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Dynamic communication skills to motivate field crews and collaborate with executives.


This position will require other duties as assigned by management

A driver's license will be required to operate company vehicles and equipment.
