Job Title: AI Program Manager


Job Summary: The AI Program Manager will lead the strategic implementation, governance, and operational integration of artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives across a nationwide commercial construction general contractor. This role serves as the bridge between business operations, technology teams, and field leadership to identify practical AI use cases that improve efficiency, decision-making, risk management, and scalability across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate combines strong program management capabilities with business process improvement experience and a practical understanding of emerging AI technologies. This individual will drive cross-functional initiatives focused on operational excellence, workforce productivity, data strategy, and innovation adoption in both corporate and field environments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Further develop and manage the company's enterprise AI roadmap aligned with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Identify, prioritize, and oversee AI initiatives across departments.
  • Lead AI pilot programs from concept through implementation, measurement, and enterprise scaling.
  • Assist in establishment and review of governance standards for responsible, secure, and compliant AI usage.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to construction and corporate operations.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, project teams, and corporate departments to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
  • Translate business challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external AI vendors, consultants, and software providers.
  • Drive adoption of AI tools and workflows through training, communication, and change management initiatives.
  • Develop best practices, usage guidelines, and internal AI policies.
  • Partner with HR and training teams to support workforce education and responsible AI adoption.
  • Promote scalable solutions that improve productivity without disrupting operations.
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure AI initiatives align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and data governance standards.
  • Evaluate AI platforms, software integrations, and automation tools for operational fit and ROI.
  • Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to measure effectiveness, cost savings, risk reduction, and user adoption.
  • Support compliance with legal, privacy, and contractual obligations related to AI use.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and implementation schedules for AI initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience within construction environments preferred.
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent technical skills, to include expert knowledge of AI platforms such as Claude, Microsoft CoPilot, OpenAI, etc.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with executive leadership and field teams.
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Travel will be required for this position.
