Legal Assistant

Job Title: Legal Assistant Location: Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey Type: Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $18/hour - $23/hour Contractor Work Model: On-site Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am -5:00 pm

Bilingual Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support a non-profit union company that provides legal services to clients
  • Conduct initial client assessments, obtain client information, case info and create client profile in computer
  • Cover front desk, meet and greet clients, answer phones, route calls, etc.
  • Create legal documents, enter client information into templates
  • Translate for Spanish speaking clients
  • Case file management, keep attorneys organized

Bilingual Legal Assistant Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one (1) year of professional office/administrative experience, preferably in a legal setting
  • Must be friendly, outgoing and provide superior customer service to clients
  • Bilingual Spanish / English preferred
