Job description

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Assistant Construction Manager to support the renovation and rehabilitation of residential investment properties. This role combines project coordination, contractor management, property maintenance, and hands-on repair work. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in both office and field environments.


Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Construction Management

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of residential renovation projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and service providers.
  • Monitor project timelines and help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Communicate project updates to management and identify potential delays or issues.


Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate contractor schedules, verify work completion, and ensure work meets quality expectations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors and suppliers.


Property Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform a variety of handyman-type tasks, including basic repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and punch-list items.
  • Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general property maintenance.
  • Identify maintenance issues and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure properties are clean, secure, and ready for contractors, inspections, or sale.

Qualifications:
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Experience in residential construction, remodeling, home renovation, property maintenance, or a related field.
  • Strong handyman skills and ability to perform a wide variety of basic repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and property owners.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple active projects.


Mobility Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between multiple job sites throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical work as needed.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with residential home flipping or real estate investment projects.
