Job description

Amentum/Secure Networking Solutions is seeking a WIDS Specialist Level I to provide technical support for Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) operations supporting Amentum's Skywalker program. The WIDS Specialist Level I, under senior WIDS personnel, assists in administering the Bastille WIDS platform, Monitoring & Response (M&R) activities, analyzing wireless threats, and supporting activities ensuring compliance with DoD and IC requirements. The WIDS Specialist Level I should have some understanding of the Bastille WIDS system, DoD/IC wireless protocols, RF theory, and knowledge of National and DoD directives, orders, regulations, and instructions governing the conduct of WIDS activities. Because the WIDS Specialist Level I role will work on a geographically separated team, excellent coordination and communication skills are expected.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day WIDS operations using the Bastille platform.
  • Monitor wireless environments and assist in identifying unauthorized RF activity.
  • Assist with M&R activities and incident reporting.
  • Operate wireless monitoring and direction-finding equipment under the guidance of senior personnel.
  • Maintain operational documentation, logs, and reporting records.
  • Coordinate with WIDS Specialists and engineering teams to support system operations.
  • Follow established operating procedures and security requirements.
  • Support system deployments, testing, and operational readiness activities.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Office Setting, but may be required to install sensors and wiring, which requires climbing ladders and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Baseline knowledge of RF theory and wireless protocols.
  • Familiarity with wireless security monitoring or TSCM concepts.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn WIDS technologies, monitoring procedures, and security policies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel worldwide.

Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Poly

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting technical security, wireless monitoring, or related operational environments is preferred.

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position.
