Job description

Job Description One Tech Engineering is searching for an Engineering Technician for a position located in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Engineering Technician will install and configure Motorola and other vendor radios in fleet vehicles. The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card.

The candidate should have previous experience in the automotive industry. Engineering Technician Responsibilities: Perform radio installations on pickups, heavy equipment, tuggers, snow cats, Polaris Rangers, Freightliners, and other specialty vehicles. Troubleshoot radio equipment and connectivity issues as technical proficiency develops.

Complete assigned work independently using ServiceNow tickets and guidance from the lead dispatcher. Travel throughout Colorado to perform installations at service centers. Maintain accurate documentation of completed installations and service activities.

Utilize company-provided vehicle, computer, and installation tools to complete daily assignments. Requirements of the Engineering Technician: Previous experience in the automotive industry. Experience working with 12V/24V vehicle electrical systems.

Hands-on experience with vehicle wiring, mobile electronics, or stereo installations. Ability to troubleshoot electrical and radio equipment issues. Ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicle interiors.

Valid driver's license required. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong customer service, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Motorola radios is preferred. Experience with BearCom or Day Wireless is a plus.
