Job description

Michigan Broadband Services, a leading provider of high-speed communications solutions, is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to support growth throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This role focuses on promoting fiber internet, hosted voice, and streaming TV services through in-person customer engagement.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, is self-driven, and enjoys building relationships. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, strong commission potential, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage prospective clients to promote internet and related services
  • Generate and follow up on leads through cold calls, networking, and referrals
  • Assess corporate client needs and recommend tailored, cost-effective solutions
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including sales agreements and contracts
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and performance goals
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships before and after the sale
  • Process sales orders and ensure timely service activation
  • Stay informed on company products, services, and industry trends
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 and other sales tools effectively


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of networking, VoIP, cabling, and data services
  • Minimum 2 years of direct sales experience preferred, ideally within the telecommunications sector
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
