Job Overview
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Technical Sound Designer is a primary driver of audio craft and influence for sound design throughout the studio helping to shape audio content innovation and direction.
Responsibilities
  • Exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
  • Provides full audio development and production as outlined in Sound Designer positions as needed.
  • Offers direction, evaluation and quality assurance of audio assets produced by in-house and outsourced sound designers.
  • Continually formulates asset implementation and "best practices" procedures for projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Advises and communicates software upgrade and hardware improvement requirements and considerations to Creative Director, IT and/or purchasing.
  • Evaluates, improves and innovates the level of quality of our games in relation to our competition by attending shows, conferences and demonstrations.
  • Assistance in any area of aural development as deemed necessary.
  • Spearheads new tool research and development, encompassing emerging technologies and best practices within the audio field.
  • Provides audio development mentoring for mid to lower-level sound designers.
  • Participates in Roadmap strategy discussions ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed when scope or decisions changes are needed.
  • Capable of presenting game content and demonstrations to key stakeholders

Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor Music or equivalent degree and/or work experience.
  • 10-12 years of experience audio design and development for adult gambling products.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and broad thinker who can demonstrate the ability to work independently, multi-task, and deliver completed projects and testing requirements in a timely manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible to the ever-changing environment of a fast-growing company.
  • Experience in professional audio sequencing, sampling, and editing software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and management skills.
  • Ability to give constructive feedback concerning their own work and others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Expert level knowledge of templated audio behaviors.
  • Expert understanding of audio hardware limitations and physical audio system R&D.
