Title: Luxury Residential Theater Design Assistant/ CAD Drafter
Position Overview:
CinemaTech, a leader in high-end luxury home theaters, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Drafter to join our team. This person will support and collaborate closely with our Lead Theater Designers to deliver highly detailed technical drawings and plans. Your expertise will ensure that our world-class theaters are executed with flawless precision, contributing to the immersive and luxurious experience our clients expect.
This position can be located in Addison, TX, can be contract work, full time and remote. Pay will reflect details above.

What this role Demands:

Key Responsibilities
Drafting and Technical Documentation:
  • Create accurate and detailed theater design concepts, including schematics, room layouts, seating configurations, details, and construction documentation, ensuring that all documents align with project standards
  • Generate dimensioned and annotated plans, elevations, sections, details, 3D views, schedules, etc.
  • Research, read and interpret product specifications, diagrams, schematics, graphs, charts, installation manuals, and other documentation to incorporate into designs.
  • Identify construction and equipment detailing challenges on projects, find solutions and effectively document them in the construction drawing sets.
Collaborate with Design Team:
  • Work closely with our theater designers to translate design concepts into technical drawings.
  • Maintain communication with the team to ensure a seamless coordinated effort.
CAD Management:
  • Contribute to the ongoing creation and management of our CAD libraries and standards.
Coordination with Project Teams:
  • Assist in the coordination of theater designs with other systems such as lighting, audio, video, automation, and acoustics, ensuring seamless integration across all project components.
Support Project Details:
  • Aid in the review and refinement of design plans throughout the project lifecycle, making updates as necessary to meet client expectations and project requirements.
Continuous Learning:
  • Stay informed on the latest drafting techniques, theater design trends, and technological advancements applicable to the residential theater industry to enhance the quality and efficiency of your work.

  • Need to be able meet deadlines and produce work in the timely, set manner
  • Plus but not required ability to do 3D Max Renderings

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associates degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Interior Design, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is plus.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience of CAD Drafting is required. Experience in interior design, architectural design or a related field is plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required (Advanced).
    • 3DS Max and V-Ray experience (a Plus).
    • Knowledge or experience in residential theater market and Audio Video systems (a Plus).
    • Able to read, interpret and follow documentation including, but not limited to; construction drawings, specifications, installation manuals, procedural documents, schematics, diagrams, charts and graphs.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and attention to detail in drafting and technical documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate technical details and collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and project teams.
  • Efficiency: Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamwork: Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
