About Liberty Trail RV
Liberty Trail RV is a rapidly growing RV dealership group with locations across North Texas and aggressive expansion plans throughout the region. Our organization focuses on operational discipline, strong financial management, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
As our company continues to scale, we are seeking an experienced Dealership Controller to lead the financial operations of the dealership and support executive leadership with accurate reporting and operational insights.
Position Overview
The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for the dealership and work directly with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational efficiency.
This role plays a critical part in managing dealership financial statements, floorplan accounting, and monitoring the financial performance of dealership operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
  • Oversee all dealership accounting operations
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Maintain strong internal financial controls
Dealership Accounting
  • Manage floorplan reconciliation and inventory accounting

  • Monitor manufacturer incentives, rebates, and warranty receivables
  • Ensure accurate deal posting and contract processing
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable
Operational Reporting
  • Provide financial reporting and insights to ownership and leadership
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics
  • Support leadership with financial planning as the dealership expands
Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and dealership accounting standards
  • Coordinate with outside CPA firms and auditors
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience reviewing and preparing dealership financial statements strongly preferred

  • High level of organization and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in automotive or RV dealership accounting

  • Experience with dealership management systems (DMS)
  • Preferred experience with IDS DMS

  • Experience with multi-department dealership accounting (sales, parts, and service)
