Job description

Job Title: Rotational Molding Machine Operator (NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, JUST MECHANICALLY INCLINED)

Job Description

This role oversees the daily operation of a rotational molding machine and oven, ensuring safe, efficient production and consistent product quality. You will set up and operate equipment, use a crane to move molds, perform changeovers and troubleshooting, and maintain high operating and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the assigned rotational molding machine and oven to ensure consistent and efficient production.
  • Operate and use an overhead crane to safely set molds and move them to and from the oven.
  • Perform machine set ups and change overs on the rotational molding machine according to production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot the molding machines and oven to identify and resolve mechanical or operational issues.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or maintain molds and equipment as needed.
  • Trim and finish molded parts to meet quality and production specifications.
  • Monitor operating parameters and product quality, and take corrective action to ensure all operating and quality standards are met in the assigned area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and best practices when working with machinery, cranes, tools, and ovens.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support smooth workflow and minimize downtime.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience operating production or manufacturing machinery.
  • Experience setting up, changing over, and troubleshooting machines in a production environment.
  • Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for production or maintenance tasks.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how machines and molds operate.
  • Ability to safely operate a crane or similar lifting equipment to move molds and materials.
  • Comfort working with rotational molding equipment, ovens, and related production machinery.
  • Ability to follow operating instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with mold handling, trimming, and finishing of molded products.
  • Demonstrated mechanical inclination and interest in working with machines and tools.
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding setting that may involve heat exposure.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment, processes, and production requirements.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled. Due to the use of ovens, the facility can become very hot during the summer months. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
