Second Shift Shift Supervisor

Location: Saginaw, TX
Shift: Second Shift: 1:30 PM to 11:30 PM
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Compensation: Starting at $23/hour based on experience + $1/hour shift differential
Industry: Plastics Manufacturing / Rotational Molding


Position Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Second Shift Shift Supervisor to support daily manufacturing operations within their plastics production facility. This individual will help lead production employees, maintain workflow efficiency, support safety and quality initiatives and ensure second shift operations run smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably within plastics or rotational molding operations. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support second shift production employees during daily manufacturing operations
  • Maintain production schedules and ensure shift goals are met safely and efficiently
  • Monitor product quality standards and assist with troubleshooting production issues
  • Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment
  • Assist with employee training, coaching, and performance management
  • Communicate production updates, maintenance concerns, and operational issues to leadership
  • Partner with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and manufacturing standards
  • Help maintain employee morale, accountability, and teamwork across the shift

Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of manufacturing supervisory or shift lead experience
  • Plastics manufacturing experience preferred
  • Rotational molding experience strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience managing production employees and shift operations
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead by example on the production floor
