Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Current Kansas State Teaching License with appropriate endorsement
  • Preferably licensed in school psychology, social work, or school counseling
  • Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Proven background supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional needs
  • School-based behavior specialist, BCBA, or similar experience strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavior consultation across multiple districts as an itinerant specialist
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and support teams
  • Deliver coaching/training in effective behavioral strategies
  • Assist with crisis intervention and deploy research-based supports
  • Implement and monitor data-driven, evidence-based behavior plans
