Job description

About Us

Literacy is the foundation of lifelong learning, yet nearly one in three children in America struggles to read at grade level. At Air Reading, we are tackling this challenge head-on by bringing effective, research-based reading instruction to the students who need it most. We partner with schools to deliver small-group online reading classes that accelerate student progress.

But Air Reading isn’t only about student growth — it’s also about developing teachers. Our program gives teachers the chance to deepen their knowledge of the Science of Reading, practice structured literacy methods, and receive professional coaching. Many of our teachers share that their experience with Air Reading strengthens their confidence, enhances their instructional toolkit, and positions them for new opportunities in education.

Our impact is backed by rigorous evidence. In a Johns Hopkins University randomized controlled trial, Air Reading students made measurable gains in reading achievement. The program is recognized as ESSA Tier 1 (Strong Evidence) and featured by Proven Tutoring, a national initiative showcasing programs with the strongest research validation. Joining Air Reading means advancing your own career while contributing to a nationally recognized solution.
