Job description

Core Job Responsibilities:
Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements. Develop project scopes, cost estimates, equipment specifications & system designs. Provide implementation through contractor selection and procurement assistant.
• Participate in annual project budget proposal process. Submit new project ideas developed during the year for the following budget year with basic engineering data, cost estimate and potential execution schedule
• Develop project objectives, specifications, benefits analysis, budgets and overall feasibility to execute
• Execute projects from budget approval to start-up and commissioning
• Monthly reporting and cost control -- Provide monthly report summarizing monthly activities and upcoming plans, safety concerns, schedules and cost for all projects and personal objectives
• Actively participate in safety programs, training and administration of any contractor programs
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
• B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical preferred)
• 3 -10 years of industrial experience as a project engineer or engineering function
• Knowledge of process and chemical industry equipment, operation, selection and installation
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering and industrials standards and codes, ANSI, ASME etc.
• General knowledge of other disciplines, civil, electrical & industrial controls and the ability to manage installations of these disciplines with support
• Knowledge of cost estimating principles and the ability to estimate project cost and economics
