Job description

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.

Job Description Summary:

The Contract Specialist will efficiently manage and coordinate all aspects of the contract lifecycle, including review and administration of contracts for either (i) the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting group (including PV, BESS and HV), or (ii) the operation and maintenance (Services) contracting group, as applicable, in relation to utility-scale projects. This role serves as a key liaison between Contracts, Legal, Pre-Construction, Business Development and other internal teams, ensuring timely and accurate contract processing, while mitigating risk and supporting business objectives.
This role is fully remote. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for intake, distribution and review of main agreement contracts across internal departments.

  • Upload client agreements into contracting software and conduct initial review of client agreements, assisting in identifying problematic provisions. Coordinate contract review processes with Contracts, Legal, Pre-Construction, Operations, Risk, and other stakeholders.

  • Support state-specific and national labor concerns (eg Illinois REC, Nevada RETA, etc.)

  • Track contract status from intake through execution; maintain accurate records and version control.

  • Assist in the preparation of in-house contract templates for clients and vendors as needed.

  • Develop and maintain a streamlined contract management process; propose improvements to enhance efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve contract issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on contract performance, compliance, and KPIs to leadership.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, codes, tariffs, and best practices to ensure competitive positioning.

  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in renewable energy or construction.

  • Strong understanding of EPC concepts, scopes of work, and associated risks.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with SharePoint, DocuSign, MS Teams, and contract management software.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret contractual terms and assess financial impacts.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.

  • Commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and professionalism.
