A Contract Merchandiser is responsible for setting up, stocking, and maintaining product displays in retail stores on behalf of brands or suppliers. They work independently on a contractual basis, ensuring merchandise is visually appealing, correctly priced, and in compliance with store layouts. Duties may include restocking products, setting up promotional displays, and reporting inventory or sales trends. This role requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel between store locations.
To thrive as a Contract Merchandiser, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in retail or merchandising, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with planogram software, inventory management tools, and handheld mobile devices is commonly required in this field. Excellent communication, time management, and the ability to work independently are valuable soft skills. These competencies ensure effective execution of merchandising plans, maintain product displays, and foster good relationships with retailers and clients.
As a Contract Merchandiser, your typical day involves visiting various retail locations to stock shelves, set up product displays, ensure planogram compliance, and report inventory levels. You may also be responsible for building promotional end caps, placing signage, and communicating with store personnel to address any issues or needs. Most positions require frequent travel between store locations and working independently, though some projects may be completed as part of a team. Staying organized and efficient is essential to manage your schedule and meet client expectations in a dynamic retail environment.

We have available part-time, on-going work servicing a wide-variety of clients/retailers for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly visits.
