General Merchandise Manager
Description
A General Merchandise Manager at Carlie C’s IGA realizes that providing prompt and friendly customer service is priority #1. Being courteous and cooperative with both customer and coworker is a critical aspect of maximizing sales and building business for years to come. As a GMM, the customer are depending on you for clean shelves full of the products they love.
Duties
General Merchandise Managers are responsible to make sure the general merchandise section of the store is well stocked for our customers. General merchandise products include but are not limited to, health and beauty products, over-the-counter medicines, candy, magazines, tourist items, and seasonal merchandise.
  • Order, receive, store, and stock
  • Manage proper inventory control, product rotation and quality.
  • Create and build product displays
  • Ensure proper fronting of products, and handle product damages and credits according to company policy.
  • Be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customers in locating items.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age, friendly and outgoing.
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to frequently lift 35 to 50 pounds.
  • Neat and clean in appearance.
  • Must enjoy working with the public.
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
