Location - NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA (onsite)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Microsoft 365 (M365) Administrator that will support the M365 service team within JPL's Collaboration & Engineering Platform Development group. The M365 Administrator will support the enterprise M365 environment, including Teams, SharePoint Online, Copilot, Exchange Online, storage management, and backups.


  • Provide periodic reporting on the environment as well as assist in the management of the NASA Authorization to Operate (ATO). The M365 Administrator will receive work instructions from line management, leads, and sponsors.
  • Support customers with all service related issues.
  • Manage M365 service and site provisioning, support, and reporting.
  • Report on trends, growth, and providing recommendations for growth management.
  • Manage license count and distribution of advanced licenses.
  • Assist in the implementation and documentation of cybersecurity policies and processes.
  • Develop operational procedures and provide training to support personnel.
  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures.
  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with developers, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Assist with project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Support for issues escalated from help desks and self-help knowledge base articles.
  • Provide on call support for resolution of after-hours issues as needed.
  • Serve as a Liaison with service providers, operations, and customers to assist in resolving and communicating issues.
  • Lead tasks for the implementation of new solutions, improvements to existing solutions, and general maintenance.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to complete and pass NASA's required Level of Confidence background check for physical and logical access to critical NASA assets.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience administering M365 services including Copilot, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
  • Experience managing authentication and authorization to M365.
  • Experience with Microsoft licensing of M365 products.
  • Experience with performing backups of M365 data and configurations.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
