    Range 33 ($6,116.57 - $9,763.43) per month based on the current . New employees will begin on Step C ($6,743.51)*. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA. This position is FLSA Non-exempt (may accrue overtime). Excellent Benefits are provided to all Contract employees with assignments greater than, or equal to, 50% (0.50 FTE) and all eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will apply to the employee entering this assignment.     The Position
    Applications are currently being accepted for Investigative Analyst in the People, Culture, and Technology Services Division, located at 3375 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, 92108. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

    Desired Qualifications
    โ€ข Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in employment, labor, or industrial relations, business or public administration, law, or other related field and five years of increasingly responsible human resources or labor relations experience. Juris doctor or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business or Public Administration preferred.
    โ€ข Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment, labor, and education laws.
    โ€ข Experience in conducting or assisting with workplace investigations and administrative hearings.
    โ€ข Experience interacting with union stewards or representatives.
    โ€ข Experience providing guidance to managers and supervisors on personnel matters.
    โ€ข Experience interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements and employment policies.
    โ€ข Experience in administering discipline and due process including drafting counseling, disciplinary documents, and/or performance evaluations and improvement plans.
    โ€ข Previous experience within an educational institution or public entity is preferred but not required.
    โ€ข Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT:
