The position is ideal for entry level professionals interested in non-profit administration and management. The Contract Coordinator will provide support to a deadline-driven team, including extensive factchecking; data management; and reviewing; and monitoring contracts and deliverables. The Coordinator will be instrumental in managing files, grant documentation, and grant budgets and reports.The Coordinator must be highly detail-oriented, a self-starter, and able to accurately complete a range of administrative tasks necessary for successful and timely reporting to senior management and government contractors. This position reports to and works closely with the Director for Contracts and Vice President for Grantmaking and Capacity Building.Position Location: New York CityReports to: Director for ContractsJob Duties and Responsibilities:Provide assistance and support to the Grantmaking and Capacity Building Department in the following areas:Assist in monitoring contract performance by requesting updates and keeping track of quarterly contract deliverables and spending.Update contract and program trackers monthly.Collaborate with HF staff on the preparation and completion of programmatic progress reports and submit final copies to funders.Maintain compliance with online contracting system uploads, including but not limited to insurance certification updates, budget and work scope data entry, etc.Assist with the preparation and submission of contract applications as directed by the Director for Contracts.Maintain effective record-keeping of all contract-related documentation and reporting.Communicate with government funding representatives as needed.Participate in special projects including HFโs annual report, community events, and ad-hoc projects as assigned.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of experience within the nonprofit sector, including experience with management of financial data, MOUโs, or working with agreementsAbility to prioritize and work under deadlines is strongly preferredBilingual (English and Spanish) is an asset, but not requiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detailComfortability with summarizing complex information into easy to understand reportsMust be able to function well in a fast-paced work environment, able to respond to multiple requests for assistance simultaneouslyComputer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible and collaborative spiritEnthusiasm, professionalism and a passion for serving the Latino communityStrong commitment to Hispanic Federation's mission and core valuesCompensationThe salary range for this position is $50,000 โ $55,000 and is commensurate with experience.
