Title: Power Electronics Design Engineer
Location: West Fargo, ND

Job Summary:
John Deere is hiring a Power Electronics Design Engineer to design and improve power electronic systems such as 3-phase inverters and DC/DC converters. The role involves product design, testing, validation, and working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evaluate power electronic assemblies for cost, quality, and performance
  • Develop technical solutions based on project requirements
  • Create reports, design documents, and prototype support
  • Execute testing and validation plans
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and supplier teams

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years in electronic circuit design
  • Experience with 3-phase motor control inverters and DC/DC converters
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, FPGA
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools and schematic capture tools (Mentor Graphics preferred)
  • Experience in product design from concept to production
  • Knowledge of harsh environment designs
