Job description

Saalex is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer in Ridgecrest/China Lake, CA to support the design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of electrical and electronic systems. The selected candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting government and commercial projects involving system design, analysis, testing, and technical documentation
.Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $88k-$115k annually (depending upon experience)
Work Location: Onsite.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist with the design, development, and integration of electrical and electronic systems and components.
  • Support system testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, schematics, technical reports, and other project documentation.
  • Perform electrical analysis, calculations, and evaluations under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support hardware installation, integration, and configuration efforts.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer briefings.
  • Assist in the development of engineering specifications and test procedures.
  • Conduct research and evaluate emerging technologies to support project requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams.
  • Support compliance with applicable industry, military, and regulatory standards.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements
Required:
  • 3-5 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting electrical design, testing, integration, or troubleshooting activities.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and engineering specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Desired:
  • Familiarity with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, OrCAD, Altium, or similar tools.
