We have an exciting hybrid opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join the Commercial Engines Contracts Management Organization team in East Harford, Connecticut!

What You Will Do:

As a Contract Manager, in Commercial Engine (CE) Contracts you will support the drafting, negotiation, interpretation and management of complex proposal and contract documents for Commercial Engines & Aftermarket Services sales offerings.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop customer interaction skills, improve negotiation abilities, and gain international business experience.
  • Participate in campaign strategy development, drive sales proposal efforts, including coordinating input from other organizations during the sales campaign process, drafting sales proposals to meet internal and external customer requirements and ensuring that all documents properly reflect Pratt & Whitney business and legal objectives.
  • Frequently be involved in customer negotiations, including travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, processes and procedures, and tools to achieve the Commercial Engines Contracts organizations objectives.
  • Drive compliance with department policies and procedures related to document preparation and approval and communication of department and company business objectives.
  • The tasks are schedule driven and require occasional non-core hours and/or travel.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of contract management or in a position with a focus on contract drafting and negotiating; OR an Advanced degree and 5+ years of contract management or in a position with a focus on contract drafting and negotiating.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen - this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate.
  • This position is dynamic and requires significant social interaction.
  • Strong document drafting and negotiation skills, management skills, an understanding of aerospace business and legal issues.
  • Familiarity with ACE/CORE process improvement tools.
  • Good business judgment and project management skills in order to meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Technical/engineering expertise and skills would be beneficial but not required.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
