Drafting Manager
We’re looking for an experienced Drafting Manager who is ready to make an impact and grow with a fast-growing metal fabrication company. This is an opportunity to lead a talented drafting team while helping shape the processes, standards, and systems that will support the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the drafting team while managing priorities and project workloads.
  • Oversee 2D/3D shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, cut lists, and BOMs.
  • Establish and improve drafting standards, templates, libraries, and quality-control processes.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, completeness, and alignment with production capabilities.
  • Partner with estimating, project management, production, and installation teams to solve design challenges.
  • Build and improve standard details, components, and parametric models to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive drafting/fabrication drawing experience; leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills required, with experience in Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar 3D software.
  • Experience creating shop or fabrication drawings for metal, aluminum, or architectural metals.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, tolerances, and constructability.
  • Associate’s degree in Drafting, CAD, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.

If you’re someone who wants to take ownership, develop people, improve processes, and grow alongside a successful company, we’d like to hear from you.
