Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Work with project teams to prepare and finalize project deliverables and contract documents in accordance with the company standards, municipal/jurisdictional requirements, survey standards, and client requirements.
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS
Employees, Managers, and Supervisors throughout the corporation.
MAJOR TASKS
  • Drafting Technician II prepares various drawings (plan, elevation, profile views, details, and notes) for survey projects. Processing redlined drawings from QC, PLS, and/ or project teams to finalize deliverables. Various other duties as assigned.
  • Work requires knowledge/use of techniques, working knowledge of procedures and terms of the industry.
  • The ability to perform a self QC review on your completed assignments, to reduce errors.
  • Able to incorporate surveyor's/engineer's markups.
  • Able to interpret and incorporate client's standards.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Carlson (or equivalent).
  • Productive with Adobe Acrobat, MS Office and Google Earth.
  • Proficient with reference files and drawing to scale.
  • Completes assignments from Drafting Manager or assigned lead with minimal guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Work semi-independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD)
