What you'll do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and agreements under tight timelines to drive business growth while protecting TELUS' interests.
  • Provide strategic guidance on contractual matters and influence strategic decisions through expert risk analysis.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Pricing, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to shape the future of our contracts and service offerings.
  • Champion contract management best practices across the organization.
  • Optimize contract terms and templates based on evolving business landscapes.
  • Maintain and manage key contract information to ensure compliance.
  • Drive collaboration and partnerships with internal teams.
  • Design and deliver training on contract compliance and best practices.

What you bring

  • Law degree (LLB or JD) from an accredited university
  • Bilingual proficiency (French/English) with contract drafting capabilities in both languages
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial contract drafting, management, and negotiation, in particular with service agreements and SaaS agreements
  • Expertise in contract and commercial law, notably with technology contracts
  • Proficiency with contract management tools
  • Strong business acumen with ability to balance risk and commercial objectives
  • Enthusiasm for process improvement with a track record of implementing efficiencies
  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Familiarity with privacy laws
  • Business degree or related field
  • Passion for AI and its applications in legal tech

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
